Let's Get This Weekend Started!

7:13 AM

I didn't think this day would ever come. I'm sure you can tell by the lack of blog posts from this week that, this week just wasn't for me. I was doing so well, writing and scheduling two posts over the weekend and then that was that. But I am human, what can you do?

Staying true to my Friday post last week and following the trend of my favorite podcast let's get into this week's; Bad Week, Good Week.

Bad Week
Aunt Flo came to visit, need I say more? As women we know this not so friendly little visitor is going to make her way to our door step and she comes unwelcomed every single month. Real talk, I get the worst cramps, headaches and fatigue during my time. I came home from work every single night this week and went straight to bed because I literally could not function.

Good Week
The only positive from this month's visitor is she brought an intense craving for pizza. My husband and I have are currently in saving mode for a home so we have tried to cut out extra expenses anywhere we can. That being said, no eating out throughout the week. We used to be the worst at eating out for so many meals but we have really buckled down to not do that. It's really been great for our wallets and our waistlines! But being the best husband that he is, he got me just what I needed, a big greasy pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Domino's, thanks for helping my husband save the day!

Friday Favorites/Thoughts

If you haven't checked out my post from Tuesday on Easy Appetizers for a Dinner Party make sure you do so!

The Olympics start tonight and I couldn't be more excited.

Every year around this time, I start wishing for that cool crisp Fall air. Unfortunately for the past 3.5 years I've lived in south Texas and now south Louisiana, cool crisp Fall air doesn't exist, maybe in January. So you'll find me sitting at home with the A/C turned all the way down, a fall candle burning and my blanket scarf wrapped around my neck as I pin cute decor ideas so I can turn my living room into a magical fall wonderland.

There's nothing better than simple and crisp decor so I am loving the look of these pumpkins!

Drew went on a man date (as I like to call it) with some of his friends which meant I got control of the remote all night long, raises praise emoji hands. As I was flipping through channels I came across the movie Paper Towns on HBO, I had never seen it before so why not? You guys, it was SO good! I'm so mad at myself for never taking interest in the book or the movie prior to last night. If you haven't seen it yet, do so!

Can we just take a second and talk about Instagram Stories. I don't really check social media throughout the day while I'm at work. When I get home I have my routine where I peruse through Facebook, scroll through Instagram then finally watch my Snapchat stories. I just can't add another thing into the mix. I already waste 30 minutes as it is (I love my celebrity Snapchat stories). Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my social media but life is getting too consumed by it! I think a social media detox is in my future.

Drew & I have no plans for this weekend and that makes me happy. I have so many blog post ideas written down in my notebook so I'm going to work on putting them into action on this little ol' blog.

Have a great weekend everyone!
